15 East is a celebrated Japanese Restaurant in the heart of Union Square. Our mission is to carefully balance tradition with the contemporary, creating a relaxed New York dining experience. Using the very bast Japanese ingredients and techniques we hope to entice, delight and to showcase to New York the passion we have for Japanese cuisine and the city we live in. We carefully select seasonal local products from the Union Square Green Market to create new dishes using Japanese traditional techniques and flavors. These ingredients will appear on our menu during their peak seasonality.
We are pleased to announce that we will be open on Sundays for dinner service.
Featuring our Chef’s omakase as well as some very unique dishes from the kitchen, the menu has been curated to reflect traditional dishes from Japan.

These three Sakes are known for there handcrafted style of Sake production.
Narutotai Junmai Yamamhai Genshu from Tokushima Prefecture, Shikoku
– full, dry, earthy, higher alcohol (due to original Sake not diluted by Distilled water)
Kaika Kazenoichirin Junmai Ginjo from Tochigi Prefecture just north of Tokyo.
This is one of the tiniest Jizakes of Japan- light, dry, floral, elegant

Urakasumi Zen Junmai Ginjo from Miyagi Prefecture.
It translate as “Misty Bay”.- balanced, soft (from soft water), fruity
